Lakhs of students are waiting for the admission process to start for UG courses in Delhi University. However, till now DU has not announced the date of UG admission. At the same time, Admission Chairperson Rajiv Gupta has said that the Admission Committee of Delhi University (DU) will meet this week and finally take a decision on registration for undergraduate courses.
DU had earlier said to start registration from July 15.
DU had earlier said that it would start the registration tentatively from July 15 but it was later postponed till the end of July. At the same time, according to a report published in the Indian Express, Admission Chairperson Rajiv Gupta has said that the university wants to start registration by the end of July but due to many other reasons it is becoming difficult to do so.
He said, “We are trying to start the registration from the last week of July, but until we get the dates from the NTA (National Testing Agency), it will be a bit difficult. Although NTA has now announced the NEET dates, so hopefully we will get to know the DUET (DU Entrance Test) dates very soon. It is worth mentioning that NTA conducts entrance exams for some UG and PG courses in DU.
Final decision will be taken in DU’s Admission Committee meeting
Gupta said the admission committee of DU will meet this week to give “clearance” on the start of registration. Told him that, “Our meeting is scheduled for July 15, but it can also be postponed.”
DU had earlier announced tentative dates for admission to UG courses with the possibility that other school boards would declare their results by then.
