The Delhi government has asked Ambedkar University not to take any action against students who made “indecent remarks” against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The letter states that, “No student should be punished for exercising the right to freedom of speech within the university. It also states that students are the future of our country and should not be criticized, comment and should be allowed to raise their voices.”

Sisodia calls for freedom of expression

Sisodia said that every student should have the right to freedom of expression. He also said that “if the voice of criticism and dissent cannot be expressed against the political leaders in our country, then we are no longer a democracy but a dictatorship.”
