Mamta Banerjee, who was in power in Bengal for the third time, has started implementing her promises made to the public. Under this, the students’ credit card scheme was approved in the state cabinet meeting on Thursday. After this meeting, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the Trinamool Congress had promised this in its election manifesto. He informed that the students credit card scheme will be launched in the state on June 30.
Students can take loan up to Rs 10 lakh
He said that students of class 10th or above can take a soft loan of up to Rs 10 lakh at very low interest for higher studies with the help of credit card. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also said that those who have been living in West Bengal for 10 years can take advantage of this scheme. It is worth noting that loans can be taken for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral studies in India or abroad.
15 years will be given to repay the loan
He further said that the benefit of this scheme can be availed till the age of 40 years. The Chief Minister also said, “After getting the job, the student taking the loan will be given fifteen years to repay the loan.” Getting the loan will be a very simple process. This card can also be taken online.
It is worth noting that earlier, according to the promise made during the assembly elections, Mamta Banerjee has also started a scheme to give 10 thousand rupees annually to the farmers under the Krishak Bandhu scheme.
