Today, we will tell you about the journey of Saurabh Pandey, who became an IAS after passing the Civil Services Examination in the year 2019. He got this success in the sixth attempt. Once he made up his mind to leave the preparation after getting frustrated with the failures, but with the support of family and friends, he stood up again and achieved the goal.
Prepared for UPSC after working for years
Saurabh Pandey hails from Banaras, UP. After graduation, he joined the job. After working for many years, he made up his mind to go to his old dream i.e. UPSC. It was not easy for Saurabh to do this but he prepared himself for it and started preparing for UPSC.
Such was the journey of UPSC
In 2014, Saurabh made his first attempt in UPSC, in which he could not succeed due to lack of preparation. Although after this he worked hard, yet he has failed four times in a row. He gave up hope after failing a total of 5 times. But after getting the support of family and friends, then he stood up and became an IAS officer after getting All India Rank 66 in the last attempt.

Saurabh’s advice to other candidates
Saurabh believes that the journey of UPSC can be quite a struggle but you have to stay positive during this time. He advises to stay away from negative people. He believes that when you feel that you are getting frustrated then you should take the support of family and friends. Apart from this, they also advise people to prepare a backup plan. He believes that you should make every attempt in UPSC as a last attempt. With constant hard work and revision, you can achieve success here.
