Haryana: 75 percent reservation in private jobs implemented, heavy fine will be imposed for violation of law


Chandigarh: Now 75 percent seats will be reserved for local people in private jobs in Haryana.  The Haryana State Employment of Local Candidates Act, 2020′ has been implemented in the whole of Haryana. Governor Satyadev Narayan has given his approval. Under this, there is a provision of quota for the local people in those jobs in the private sector, in which the monthly salary is less than Rs 50,000. This quota will be initially applicable for 10 years and can be revised every two years.

How much will be fined for violation?

According to the law,  Companies violating this will also have to pay a fine. Companies can be fined from ten thousand to 50 thousand rupees. Also, this fine can be increased to two lakhs.

What is Provision?

  • This law will apply to firms with more than 10 employees.
  • Private companies will have to submit information about posts with less than 50 thousand salary on the government’s special portal within three months.
  • There will be no effect of this law on the people doing the job. The law is applicable to new jobs and vacant posts.
  • Employers can complain against law-abiding officers to the government and not to the court.
