Telangana government has canceled the 12th board exam. The state government has announced in this regard today. The decision to cancel the examinations was taken in the state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. In this meeting, many issues ranging from lockdown to agriculture, financial condition of the state and education were discussed.
Earlier 12th exam was postponed
Earlier the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) had decided to postpone all intermediate examinations for second year students, which were to be held between May 1 and 19. It was also said that a decision would be taken after reviewing the situation in the first week of June. It was also said that the dates for the examinations would be announced with at least 15 days notice,
So far many states have canceled board exams
Significantly, in view of the second wave of deadly corona virus in the country, the Narendra Modi government at the Center had canceled the CBSE 12th examination recently. After this decision of the Center, many states including Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh Rajasthan, UP West Bengal, Maharashtra have canceled the 10th and 12th examinations. At the same time, many states are still considering this matter. A final decision is expected to be taken by these states soon.
