Prior to this, he had to face failure in UPSC five times in a row. Once he decided to end this journey, but due to the support of family and friends, he took the exam and got success.

Came into UPSC after many years of job
Saurabh Pandey is originally from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He graduated after intermediate, after which he got a good job. After working for many years, he decided to prepare for UPSC. Their journey started in the year 2013. He faced many challenges in this journey, but did not give up and stayed only after achieving his goal.

How was the journey of UPSC
Saurabh took the UPSC examination for the first time in 2014, in which he was not selected. After this, in the second and third attempt, they could not pass the pre-exam. After changing the pre exam three times in a row, he changed his strategy. In the fourth attempt, he reached the interview round but his selection was not done. In his next attempt, he reached the interview round again, but did not succeed. Disappointed with this, he decided not to take further examination. However, due to the support of family and friends, he made his last attempt in the year 2019. This time he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS by achieving All India Rank 66.

Saurabh’s advice to other candidates
Saurabh believes that to get success in the journey of UPSC, you have to work patiently. They say that you will get failure here many times but there is no need to be disappointed by that. They believe that if you fail, then rectify your shortcomings and make a second effort in a better way. According to Saurabh, family support is also very important for this examination. They say that if you continuously work in the right direction with honesty, then you will definitely get success.
