Today, you will tell the story of Artika Shukla, who secured All India Rank 4 in UPSC Civil Service 2015 examination. After earning MBBS and MD degrees, he decided to join UPSC. After working hard for almost a year, he took the exam and fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer in the first attempt.
How did UPSC care
Artika is originally from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. She was very smart in studies since childhood and continued to top the examinations continuously. After intermediate, he cleared the entrance exam of MBBS. After obtaining MBBS degree, he enrolled in MD. In fact, both of Artika’s brothers had passed the UPSC examination. In such a situation, Artika was impressed and made up her mind to go to UPSC. His brothers also inspired him for this.
One year preparation is enough
Artika believes that 1 year of preparation is enough to pass the UPSC exam. She says that if you will work hard continuously and prepare the pre and mains by making the right strategy, then you can pass the exam in the first attempt. To strengthen his preparation, he read the NCERT books from class 1 to 12 well. Along with this, practiced answer writing and solved mock test papers.

Advice to others
Artika believes that firstly you should see and understand the syllabus of UPSC. According to that, select NCERT books and try to study as much as possible. After studying, you also keep revising syllabus. Practice of answer writing and giving mock test paper is also very important. She says that if you work hard in the right direction, then you can pass this exam soon.
