India Post GDS Recruitment 2021: Last date of application for 4368 posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in Bihar-Maharashtra


The last date to apply for recruitment for the recruitment of 4368 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in Bihar Circle and Maharashtra Circle by Indian Postal Service is 26 May 2021 i.e. today. Interested and eligible candidates who have not yet applied, immediately go to the official website and submit the application form. Note that applications will not be accepted after the last date. The process to apply for these posts started on April 27.

Number of posts in both states
According to the notification, the total number of posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks in Bihar is 1940. There are 903 posts of General category, 146 of EWS, 510 of OBC, 294 of SC, 45 of ST and 42 posts of Divyang. At the same time, the total number of posts in Maharashtra circle is 2428. These include 1105 in general category, 146 in EWS, 565 in OBC, 191 in SC, 244 in ST and 77 posts in Divyang.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification-Candidates applying for GDS posts must pass high school. They must have math and English subjects in high school.

Age Range – Minimum age of applicants has been fixed at 18 years and maximum age is 40 years. Candidates of reserved category will get relaxation in age limit.

Application fee
General and OBC category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 along with the application form. At the same time, no application fee has been kept for SC, ST, Divyang and all categories of women. The application fee can be deposited through e-challan or nearest head post office. According to the notification, the candidates on these posts will be selected on the basis of merit in the high school.
