All the states of the country are currently drafting their suggestions to be sent to the Ministry of Education (MoE) for the 12th exam. At the same time, according to sources, most states have opted to conduct a short examination for 19 “major subjects”. At the same time, some have emphasized the vaccination of students and teachers before the examination. Amidst all this, more than 300 students have written a letter to the Chief Justice of India to cancel the physical conduct of the examination.
CBSE Two options were offered for the 12th exam
Significantly, after a high level meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday, the MoE had asked the states / union territories to give detailed suggestions by Tuesday on the two proposals put up by CBSE for conducting the board examination. Let us know that CBSE has proposed two options – to conduct regular examination for 19 major subjects at notified centers or to conduct short duration objective type examination in the respective schools.
300 students wrote a letter to the Chief Justice of India
At the same time, the trend of the hashtag “Castleboard Examination” continues on Twitter. Here more than 300 students have written a letter to the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, to cancel the proposal for physical conduct of the examination and to provide an alternative evaluation scheme like last year. However, a senior MoE official said that “based on the feedback received so far, the general consensus is that the exam should be conducted.” As the Education Minister has said, the final decision regarding the 12th examination will be announced by June 1.
These states chose the second option
Explain that the Delhi government has reiterated its stand of “vaccination or cancellation”, the state is in favor of option B. Maharashtra’s education minister has said that the state is still in favor of a “non-examination route”. The Punjab government has also opted for a second option, although it has also reiterated that students need to be vaccinated before the exam. On the other hand, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Bihar, Karnataka are also included in those states which have advocated another option.
Amidst all this, a large section of students and parents are demanding cancellation of the examination.
