Success Story of IAS Topper Mandar Jayantrao Patki: The journey of UPSC from Mandar Patki, who lives in Maharashtra, is truly an example for the people. He did not take any coaching for the preparation of UPSC exam. Mandar illuminated the names of the housemates by passing the UPSC examination with 22nd rank in the first attempt without coaching. Mandar believes that the most important thing to pass this exam is hard work as well as being dedicated to your goals. In an interview to Delhi Knowledge Track, Mandar Patki spoke openly about his strategy.

Prepare by planning
Mandar prepared for the exam by making a schedule and planning. During his preparation, he made two types of plan, macro and micro. Mandar made plans for week or day studies in Micro. Whereas in macro, he made plans for the month. During this type of planning preparation, he got a lot of work. Mandar believes that the first thing to be done during the preparation of this exam is to choose the right guidance and the right resources. Only after that you should start preparing. Also, Mandar Limited Resource and Multiple Revision are considered very important for the preparation of the examination or say the basic mantra. Also, keep making notes where necessary.

Choose the optional carefully
Mandar says that every candidate preparing for the exam should be very careful because it plays a very important role in your selection and rank. Choose whatever you are interested in. Also practice the practice of answer writing fiercely. Mandar had prepared for UPSC examination from the books of famous writers. The subject he did not understand was clearing it by watching online videos. He revisited a month before the examination.

Mandar advice to other candidates
Mandar says that Essay and Ethics should never ignore these two subjects because they play a very important role in making rank. He says that more time is not wasted by planning and preparing, and preparation also becomes good. It is also important to keep taking breaks in between studies.
