Success Story of IAS Pradeep Singh: Many people take a long time to clear the UPSC exam, while some people pass the exam in the first attempt. Today we are going to tell you the story of such a candidate who passed the examination at the age of just 22. Pradeep Singh, in the year 2018, passed the UPSC examination with 93 rank and illuminated the name of his family members. Pradeep comes from a very simple family, his father used to work at the petrol pump.
Pradeep hails from Gopalganj, Bihar. But his father shifted to Indore many years ago in search of some good opportunity. However, due to the care of the ancestral land in the village, the women of the house remained in the village and the men moved to Indore. Pradeep too shifted from Bihar to Indore for better education opportunities. In an interview given to Delhi Knowledge Track, Pradeep spoke openly about this journey.
Distance made from social media
Pradeep had completely kept away from social media during preparation. He used to study as per schedule from morning till evening. Pradeep completed his early education from CBSE School. After this, he studied BCom Hons from IIPS DAVV Indore. He was a very good student in studies from the beginning.
Faced with financial constraints
Due to the poor economic condition of Pradeep’s house, he faced a lot of challenges. Pradeep’s father started very big businesses during his children’s studies. But he could not succeed in any. When Pradeep was to shift to Delhi for UPSC coaching, his father sold his house. So that their coaching and living expenses can be taken. Pradeep says that his father never let any problem in studies even in the face of money problem. Pradeep knew that he could not spend much time in preparing for UPSC. So they worked hard.

Pradeep’s advice to other candidates
Pradeep says that while preparing for this exam, you should know why you are preparing for it. You will get motivation from this in bad times. Do not prepare under pressure of anyone. Pradeep believes that an average student can also pass the exam if he prepares with hard work. Pradeep prepared with hard work and constant mind to pass this exam.
