The Punjab government on Thursday made a big announcement for the children whose earning members or parents of both the families got caught in the cheeks of the corona after getting infected. In fact, the Punjab government has announced to provide Rs 1,500 per month as social security pension and free education up to graduation for children orphaned due to corona infection.

Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh termed the duty of the state to be the foster parents of the children who had lost both their parents due to Kovid. Along with this, he said that his government will ensure to provide free education in government institutions for children who have been orphaned due to Corona and lost earning member of the family.
An official statement said that children orphaned by Kovid-19 will be provided relief measures up to the age of 21 – graduation level.
Formation of Monitoring Committee Also announced
Significantly, the Chief Minister has also announced the formation of a monitoring committee under the chairmanship of the Minister of Social Security and Women and Child Development to review the progress and relief measures in each case. With this, the Punjab government said that the Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development will be the nodal department for the implementation of relief measures for the affected people.
These states also announced for children orphaned due to Kovid.
Let me tell you that earlier the state governments of Delhi, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh had announced that they would sponsor the education of children who lost their parents due to Kovid-19. The three states had also announced financial relief for such children.
