Today, you will tell the story of Junaid Ahmed, who became an IAS officer after receiving All India Rank 3 in UPSC exam 2019. Junaid traveled from an average student to become a UPSC topper.
AMU to 12th standard
Junaid Ahmed, originally from Nagina town in Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, got his initial education from Home Town. After this, he got admission in Aligarh Muslim University (AMU). From here, he completed his 12th standard and graduated from Indira Gandhi National Open University. During this time, he made up his mind to go to UPSC. The special thing was that until his graduation, good numbers had not come in his studies, in such a situation, his decision was shocking for many people.
Success in fifth attempt in UPSC
For the preparation of UPSC, Junaid joined Jamia’s Residential Coaching, where UPSC aspirants are given free coaching facility. Junaid failed in UPSC thrice, but he did not give up and kept working hard. In the fourth attempt, he passed the UPSC examination with All India Rank 352. Based on this rank, he received IRS service. However, he continued his efforts even after this and fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer in 2019.

Junaid’s advice to other candidates
Junaid Ahmed believes that if you want to prepare for UPSC, you can get success here by starting from zero. He says that many people demotivated him by saying that average students cannot pass this exam. But due to hard work, he fulfilled his dream. Junaid says that one should not panic with failures and constantly try to achieve his goal.
