A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court demanding the cancellation of the CBSE Class 12 board examination. The petition has requested to declare the results of 12th students this year on the basis of objective method logic. It is worth mentioning that the CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) class 12 examination is to be held from May 4 to June 14, but the examination has been postponed in view of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
CBSE refutes media reports about cancellation of examinations
On the other hand, the CBSE on Friday denied media reports regarding the 12th examinations, claiming that the board can cancel the Class 12th examinations. In response to media reports regarding Class 12 exams, CBSE stated, “It is clarified that no such decision has been taken by CBSE in relation to Class XII examinations as is being speculated in some sections of the media. 15 days notice will be given before the commencement of the examination
An official of the Ministry of Education (MoE) said that, “Board exams of class 12th scheduled for May 4 to June 14 have been postponed. These exams will be held later. The situation will be reviewed by the board on June 1 and details will be shared later ir. A notice of at least 15 days will be given before the commencement of the examination. “
Class 12 students are demanding to cancel the exam
It is worth noting that earlier CBSE class 12th students started an online campaign called hashtag #saveboardstudents, requesting to cancel the board examination in view of the increasing cases of corona infection. Apart from this, students have also filed a petition on Change.org, in which the government has been asked to cancel the 12th class board examination.
