In fact, the Chhattisgarh government announced on Thursday that the government will bear the full cost of education of children orphaned due to corona infection and will also give them scholarship.
Chhattisgarh ‘Mehtari Dular Scheme‘ Has been initiated
An official release said that the state government has decided to start the ‘Chhattisgarh Mahtari Dular Scheme’ for such children. Under this scheme, children from class 1 to 8 will be given a stipend of Rs 500 and children from classes 9 to 12 will be given a stipend of Rs 1000 per month. It says that children studying in both government and private schools will be entitled to this stipend.
Priority will be given in admission
The state government will also provide funds for the education of those children whose sole earner of the family has died due to Kovid-19. Along with this, it has also been said that these children will be given priority for admission in the state-run Swami Atmanand English Medium School and no fee of any kind will be charged from them.
