Parents are demanding cancellation of 10th exam
Earlier, the state Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had said in a tweet that in view of the huge increase in the cases of corona infection, it has been decided to postpone the GSEB’s 10th and 12th board examinations. At the same time, the parents are constantly demanding that the 10th exam be canceled. The All Gujarat Parent Association has also filed a PIL for the cancellation of the 10th examination in the Gujarat High Court.
Students of classes 1 to 9 and 11 without examination promotion
The GSEB class 10th and class 12th examinations were to be conducted between May 10 and May 25. At the same time, the board has promoted the students of classes 1 to 9 and class 11 in the next class of Bina examination itself. The board has also issued guidelines regarding mass promotion of students of classes 9 and 11, according to which the students will be promoted without examination.
According to the GSEB Mass Promotion Guidelines, “Due to COVID-19, the examination was not conducted” in the Class 9 and Class 11 marksheets will be mentioned.
Students of Science of 11th will be passed on the basis of internal assessment
Explain that students of class 11 science will be given marks on the basis of internal assessment, periodical examination of 10 marks, notebook submission and subject enrollment activity of five marks. At the same time, the students of vocational and general stream will be evaluated on the basis of 10 marks term paper.
In the midst of the Corona crisis, the Gujarat government has also announced summer holidays in schools. Summer vacation in schools in Gujarat will continue till June 6 and the academic year will start from June. At the same time, the Central University of Gujarat has suspended its physical classes and online classes have been started.
