Be fond of cricket
Originally hailing from Hyderabad, Karthik was fond of cricket. After intermediate, he enrolled in engineering. During his college days, he played cricket at university level. After this, he was also selected in the under-19 cricket team of his state. During his engineering, he played a lot of cricket. However, after completing his degree, he decided to go to UPSC and started preparing. For this, he also came to Delhi and did coaching.
Failed pre-exam thrice
Karthik came to Delhi to prepare for UPSC. Here he studied diligently and appeared in the civil service examination. He could not pass the pre-exam in the first 3 attempts. But instead of getting frustrated, Karthik recognized his shortcomings and corrected them. Before the fourth attempt, he changed his strategy and worked more hard. He finally fulfilled his dream by achieving All India Rank 103 in the fourth attempt.

Karthik’s advice to other candidates
Karthik believes that during the preparation of UPSC, you should also take care of your physical and mental health.
