Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has also been closed till May 15 due to increasing cases of corona infection. The university said on Wednesday that the university campus will be closed till May 15 and there will be no online classes during this time. This decision was taken in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Rakesh Bhatnagar.

University Officer 15 Will work from home by May
An official statement said that the university officials will work from their homes till May 15 and they will be called to the office only in the required position. However, medical facilities and essential services will continue during this period.
The statement also said that there would be no permission for unnecessary movement in the university campus and the night curfew / lockdown imposed by the district administration would be applicable inside the university campus.

Teachers and staff have been asked to conduct a COVID test.
The university has asked teachers and other employees to get COVID-19 test done if symptoms of infection are seen. If the test comes positive then isolate yourself.

Offline Teaching was closed in April
Banaras Hindu University (BHU), in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 in April, had also stopped offline teaching inside the university campus and banned the movement of people. The university asked students living in hostels to go to their original places and give online, open-book exams to “protect their homes”.
