CBSE Board Exam 2021: How will the marking scheme of class 10 be done? Understand in 10 points


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the marks evaluation criteria for students of class 10th on 1 May. For class 10th students, 20 out of 100 marks have been determined on the basis of internal assessment while 80 marks have been determined on the basis of various examinations conducted throughout the year. Explain that in view of the increasing cases of corona infection, the CBAC Board had canceled the Class 10 examination, while the Class 12th board examination has been postponed, on which the final decision is expected in the first week of June, 2021. However, lakhs of students of class 12 have requested the board to cancel the examination.

Let’s understand the CBSE class 10 marking scheme, result date and the demand for cancellation of class 12th exam in 10 points.

1-According to the policy of the board, 20 marks will be given in each subject on the basis of internal assessment and 80 marks will be given on the basis of various examinations conducted throughout the year. The board has also said that schools found involved in adopting biased and discriminatory attitudes in the assessment will be fined and their affiliation will be terminated. Also, the board has said that the results of class 10 will be announced in the third week of June 2021.

2- The examinations which contribute for 80 marks include periodic test, half yearly or mid term test and pre-board examinations. According to the CBSE notification, “Class 10 board examinations should have marks as per the previous performance of the school.” The board has directed the schools to form a result committee consisting of principal and seven teachers, which will finalize the result of class 10.

3- If physically challenged students have not appeared in any assessment conducted by the school, CBSE has allowed schools to consider other activities such as candidates, presentations, quizzes, oral tests and projects etc. for such candidates. Has given

4- CBSE will also give grace marks to the students who have not got the minimum marks for passing the exam. Even after Grace Marks policy by the board, if a student is not able to pass, then he / she will be placed in the “required repeat” or “compartment” category.

5- CBSE has issued instructions to schools to keep records of students with supporting documents. The board may deploy officials to verify the records and procedures used by schools to ensure accuracy of results. If inappropriate behavior or actions are used in schools, the board can take action against them.

After the declaration of the 6-Result, the schools will conduct an objective type compartment examination in online or offline mode based on the sample question papers. Students who do not qualify on the basis of these criteria will be provisionally admitted in class 11 till the declaration of compartment exam results.

7- CBSE has stated that there will be no provision for re-evaluation, re-verification of answer sheets for results calculated using objective criterias.

8- CBSE has said that for private, correspondence and second-chance compartment students, a separate assessment scheme will be announced soon.

9 – On the day CBSE released the evaluation plan for class 10 students, on the same day, lakhs of students of class 12 also demanded that their examinations be canceled, because it is not suitable to conduct examinations due to the current Kovid-19. is. Using # Cancel12thboardexams2021, some of those students said that they should be evaluated in the same way as the Class 10 assessment policy.

10-CBSE has not canceled the Class 12 board exams, only postponed them. The board had earlier also announced that a final decision would be taken in the first week of June 2021.
