The Directorate of Education Research and Training in Meghalaya has released the notification for the Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) 2021 on its official website. Interested candidates can check the eligibility criterion and other details by visiting official website megeducation.gov.in.

Explain that the registration process will start from June 10 and the application window will close on July 10. These examinations will be held on August 28 (temporary date) in the state. According to the official notification, “Applications of candidates who are citizens of India and permanent residents of Meghalaya are invited for appointment as primary school teachers (classes 1 to 8)”.

The written examination will consist of two papers. Candidates who pass in Paper-1 will be eligible to teach 1st to 5th class and applicants who pass Paper-II can teach classes of 6-8. Paper-I will have 30 questions which will be asked from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Whereas in Paper-II, there will be 30 questions from Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and 60 subject-specific questions. The exam will be conducted in offline mode and its duration will be two hours and 30 minutes.
Multiple Choice questions Will be asked
All the questions in the written test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), and each will carry one mark. If a candidate scores 60 percent or more in the MTET exam, he will be considered MTET pass. In addition, the result will be valid for the candidate for seven years.
