Studies up to 12th from AMU
Junaid is originally from Nagina town of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. He did his early education here and after that he enrolled in AMU. After studying till 12th, he graduated from Indira Gandhi Open University. The special thing is that good numbers never came up to their graduation. He was always an average student. Despite this, he kept the target of UPSC and achieved it.
UPSC’s journey was like this
After graduation, he joined the residential coaching of Jamia Millia Islamia for the preparation of UPSC. Here he started from zero and got serious and started preparing for UPSC. He had failed in UPSC thrice in a row, but he did not give up. In the fourth attempt, he passed the UPSC examination, but his rank was 352, due to which he was selected for the IRS service. However, his dream was to become an IAS officer. In such a situation, he made another attempt and became the All India Topper in the fifth attempt.

Junaid’s advice to other candidates
Junaid believes that to get success in UPSC, you have to be patient and prepare. Here you can start from zero. Your previous educational background does not matter in UPSC.
