Assam Board postpones higher secondary examinations, decision taken due to Covid-19


Assam has postponed the Higher Secondary (HS) first year exams or Class 10 board exams. The 10th examinations in the state were scheduled to run from May 11 to June 1. The Assam Higher Education Council (AHSEC) said that this decision has been taken due to the increasing COVID-19 case in the state.

10th exam postponed

The Assam Higher Education Council (AHSEC) has issued a statement saying that, “In view of the situation of corona infection, the class 10 board examination has been postponed till further orders. The officials are yet to decide about the Class 12 board exams. ” Please tell that this decision has come after the Assam Matric Board students requested to take a decision on the exam.

Previously the examination was to be conducted in physical mode at the centers.

As per previous instructions, Class 10 exams were to be conducted in physical mode at the examination centers. The examination was scheduled in both morning and evening shifts. Let us know that practical exams of class 10 have been conducted from March 4 to March 5. Earlier, the results were to be declared on 7 July. At the same time, class 12 board examinations are going to start from May 11.

Explain that Assam Board Class 10 examinations will be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, while Class 12 examinations will be conducted by AHSEC. 4 lakh students are expected to attend the Assam Board’s Class 10 and 12 examinations.
