Private schools in Delhi will not have online classes during summer holidays


New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday directed private schools in the capital to suspend online and semi-online classes and learning activities during summer vacation. On Tuesday, the Delhi government announced a summer vacation from April 20 to June 9.

The Directorate of Education (DOE) on Monday announced to make summer holidays ahead of schedule in view of the deteriorating situation of Kovid-19 in the capital. Earlier, the summer holidays were to be held from May 11 to June 3. The DOE said in an official order, & lsquo; & lsquo; the directorate has come to the notice that despite the summer vacation some private schools are adopting regular online teaching methods in some way. & Rsquo;

DOE directed all private schools that & lsquo; & lsquo; all online and semi-online teaching and learning activities would be suspended during the said summer vacation period, like government schools. & Rsquo; & rsquo; The order stated, & lsquo; & lsquo; can carry out special activities related to school holidays. For creativity, happiness and overall social and emotional well-being, students can undertake special activities. & Rsquo; & rsquo;

A record 3 lakh cases have been reported in the last 24 hours in the country, due to which many states have decided to close schools and colleges. Apart from this, many central and state boards have deferred the examinations till now.

Apart from this, CBSE, including ICSE and the state boards have decided to cancel the 10th board examinations. Recently, the examinations of JEE, UGC NET and NEET PG were postponed. It has been decided to postpone many recruitment exams in the country so far.
