New Delhi: The JEE (Main) examination has been postponed in view of the current state of the corona virus. This examination was to be held on 27, 28 and 30 April this year, but now these dates have been extended. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has said that the new date will be announced at least 15 days before the examination. Earlier on 18 April, NEET PG was postponed in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19.
The first examination of the JEE Main Examination was held from 24 to 26 February 2021. The second incident took place in March. The exam held in April was the third accident of JEE Main but now due to the epidemic, this examination has been affected. About six lakh students are going to appear for Engineering Entrance Examination. 6,19,638 students appeared in the examination in March Attempt, while 6.52 lakh candidates had registered to appear in the February Attendant.
Please tell that JEE is the gateway to graduation level courses in IIIT, NIT and many other colleges including Main, BE, B.Tech. Those who crack JEE Main and reach the top 2.5 lakh rank are selected to appear in the JEE Advanced Entrance Exam for admission to IIT. Last year too, the admission cycle was postponed due to the epidemic.
