The decision of the Central Government to postpone the CBSE 12th board examination has had an impact on many states and boards. Most of the boards have postponed or canceled their examinations after the decision of the CBSE to defer the 12th board examination. From Rajasthan, Punjab to Telangana and UP, the schedule of board exams has been postponed in most states. Not only school level exams but entrance examinations have also been rescheduled. For example, NEET PG, to be held on 18 April, has been postponed in view of the increasing cases of COVID-19.
JEE Main’s may also be affected
The government has been continuously expressing concern over the health of the staff members and students posted at the examination centers and this is also a reason behind the postponement of the examination. It is worth noting that the third incident of JEE Main is also going to be held in April but due to the epidemic it can be affected.
JEE Main can be postponed due to Corona
Let us know that the JEE Main April session is to be held on 27, 28, 29, and 30 April. Although no official statement has been given by the NTA, but this examination can also be postponed in view of the current situation. Let us know that about six lakh students are going to appear in the Engineering Entrance Examination. 6,19,638 students appeared in the examination in March Attempt, while 6.52 lakh candidates had registered to appear in the February Attendant.
JEE Main score is very important
The NTA is yet to issue the admit card for the JEE Main April Attendant. Explain that this year, the test of board examination has been relaxed for admission in engineering colleges, although students still have to pass the board examination, there is no minimum cut-off required for admission. But thus, the score of JEE Main becomes more important.
Please tell that JEE is the gateway to graduation level courses in IIIT, NIT and many other colleges including Main, BE, B.Tech. Those who crack JEE Main and reach the top 2.5 lakh rank, are selected to appear in the JEE Advanced – Entrance Exam for admission to IITs. Due to delays in board exams, there is further delay in admission. It has been because only after the declaration of class 12 results, most central universities release their admit cards or start the admission process. Last year too, the admission cycle was postponed due to the epidemic.
