New Delhi: Amidst growing cases of corona across the country, the central government has decided to postpone the NEET PG examination to be held on April 18. Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan gave this information via tweet on Thursday evening. He told that in view of the situation of Corona, new dates of this examination will be announced. This time around 1.7 lakh students were to appear in NEET exam. Through this examination, medical students get admission in government colleges.

Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan tweeted, “In view of the growing cases of Kovid, the Government of India has decided to postpone the # NEETPG2021 exam. This exam was scheduled to be held on 18 April. The next date of examination will be decided later. The decision has been taken keeping in mind our young medical students. ” He also said that for us the safety of young doctors is paramount and after reviewing the situation, the next date of examination will be fixed.
Corona records 1.99 lakh cases in 24 hours in the country
Corona cases are increasing rapidly across the country and meanwhile this examination was to be conducted in offline mode. Many people were expressing concern about the safety of the students, in view of which the Central Government has taken this decision. So far, many central and states have decided to postpone the board examinations in view of Corona. In the last 24 hours, 1.99 lakh infected have been found in the country. So far, all the states have imposed restrictions to prevent infection.
