Success Story of IAS Topper Sumit Kumar: Will tell the story of Sumit Kumar, who became an IAS officer after receiving All India Rank 53 in UPSC Exam 2018, who got this success in the third attempt. Earlier in the year 2017, he passed the UPSC examination but his rank was 493. According to this rank, he got the Indian Defense State Service, but he was interested in becoming an IAS officer. Therefore, he decided to take the UPSC exam till he did not get a good rank.

Graduation from iit

Originally from Bihar, Sumit did his early education at a place where there were no good schools. In such a situation, his parents sent him to boarding school at the age of 8. He studied up to Intermediate in a boarding school. He was very good in studies and this was the reason that the entrance exam of IIT got cleared after his intermediate. He did his graduation from IIT. During this time, he thought of going to UPSC and started preparing.

UPSC’s journey was like this

Sumit’s journey to UPSC was not very long. In the year 2016, he gave the UPSC exam for the first time, in which he did not get success. He corrected his mistakes and made another attempt in 2017. This time he passed the examination but his All India Rank was 493. In such a situation, he did not get IAS service according to his mind. After this, he made his third attempt in 2018 and achieved All India Rank 53. In this way, his journey to UPSC was completed.

Sumit’s advice to other candidates

Sumit believes that to get success in UPSC exam, you have to prepare with patience. Do not hesitate to accept your mistakes and prepare them better by correcting them. Make a preparation strategy according to your abilities and keep working hard in the right direction. He says that it may take time for you to get success here, but keep positive thinking. If you take the exam with self confidence then you will definitely get success.
