Amid outbreak of Corona, DU has released guidelines, now classes of UG and PG students will be done in online mode


The second wave of corona infection in the country is proving even more deadly. According to the data released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, 1,61,736 new cases of corona have been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. This is the third day when more than one and a half million corona infection cases have been reported in the country. At the same time, 879 people have also died in the last 24 hours. In view of the increasing cases of corona infection, Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal has appealed to the Central Government to cancel the 10th and 12th board examinations. At the same time, looking at the current situation, Delhi University has also issued a guideline for all its departments, colleges and centers.

DU released Kovid Guideline

According to the Kovid 19 guidelines issued by Delhi University on Monday, the teaching or learning process for undergraduate and post graduate students at all departments, colleges and centers will remain online till further orders. At the same time, students of final year or semester of many UG or PG other subjects have been allowed to come in small batches for work related to laboratory or practical or skill in college or center or department. However, for this the principal of the concerned college or the head of the department will have to prepare the schedule according to the UGC guidelines or SOP and other government guidelines.

Research scholars doing MPhil or PhD are allowed to come to college

At the same time, research scholars doing MPhil or PhD in different streams have been allowed to go to college by Delhi University. However, it is also mandatory for them to take prior permission from the concerned department head or their supervisor. It is also mandatory to follow the Kovid-19 guidelines issued by the government.

Only 50 percent of the staff approved in colleges

It is worth mentioning that as per DU Kovid-19 guidelines, all Group A level officers at departments, colleges and centers will have to go to the office following the government guidelines. In addition, the head of the department concerned must ensure that the teaching staff follow protective measures. Please tell that only 50 percent of the staff in physical form has been approved in colleges, while 50 percent will work from home.
