Success Story of IAS Topper Rahul Bhat: Today, you will tell the story of Rahul Bhatt, who became an IAS officer after receiving All India Rank 68 in UPSC Exam 2017. Rahul got this success in the second attempt. For the first time, he passed the pre exam but could not perform well in mains. Rahul came to the care of UPSC during his post-graduation job. What was it then? They started their preparations and started preparing for the strategy. His journey to UPSC was around 3 years long.

Initial studies done in delhi

Rahul Bhatt is originally from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. However, he did his intermediate studies in Delhi and after that he went to Pune to pursue an engineering degree. After engineering, he got a placement in a good company and started working. He worked here for about 2 years. After this, his mind started moving towards UPSC and he decided to leave the job and come in this field.

UPSC’s journey was like this

After his preparation, Rahul took the UPSC examination for the first time in the year 2015, in which he passed the pre exam but got stuck in the mains. This increased their confidence and they felt that they could achieve success by doing better in the next attempt. He rectified old mistakes and fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer in another attempt. The special thing is that he gave the second attempt in 2017. He prepared well for about 2 years after getting failure for the first time and then appeared in the exam.

Rahul’s advice to other candidates

Rahul believes that after pre and mains examination in UPSC exam, personality test plays an important role in increasing your rank. According to them, if you can do well in this, then you can get better rank. They say that you should prepare for UPSC as a confidant and work hard continuously. Do not panic from failure and make a second attempt in a much better way by correcting your mistakes. If you learn to manage things properly, then you will definitely succeed in this exam.
