He passed the UPSC examination with All India Rank 142 in the year 2017, according to which he was selected for the IPS service. However, his dream was to become an IAS officer and he took the UPSC examination in the year 2018 as well. This time his luck was good and he achieved All India Rank 32. In this way, he completed the journey of UPSC.
Successful in JEE after intermediate
Sameer Saurabh is originally from Purnia district of Bihar. He was always smart in studies and after the intermediate he passed the examination of JEE and got admission in IIT Kharagpur. After completing his degree from here, he turned to UPSC. He was determined that he will show success in the UPSC examination by getting it in the first place itself. He also showed this by doing so.
Not satisfied with rank
For the first time in the year 2017, he took the UPSC exam and performed well in it. However, his All India Rank came at 142, according to which he was given the rank of IPS. He joined this, but continued his preparation even after that. In the second attempt, he fulfilled his dream of becoming an IAS officer by correcting his past mistakes.

Sameer’s advice to other candidates
Sameer says that if you want to succeed in UPSC exam then you have to revise your syllabus again and again. Many times people say that what they read does not remember. In such a situation, you read those things for several days and keep revising them for a long time by writing them. Apart from this, you should also pay special attention to time management and your strategy, which will help you to do better in the exam. If you work hard in the right direction, you will definitely get success.
