A similar story is of Shubham Gupta, a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, who got success in UPSC for the first time but was selected for the Indian Account Service according to the rank. In such a situation, he took the exam four times to become an IAS officer. In the fourth attempt, his All India Rank 6 came and his dream of becoming an IAS officer was fulfilled.

Shubham’s family was not very strong financially and that is why he started fighting from childhood. After intermediate, Shubham came to Delhi for graduation. During this time, he started preparing for UPSC. After graduation, he enrolled in Masters and during this time he got selected in UPSC. His All India Rank was 366, according to which he was selected for Account Services. However, even after joining the job, he continued his efforts to become an IAS.

Preparing for the job

After joining the UPSC for the first time, he joined the job and continued preparations. He was determined that he would accept as an IAS officer. For this, he made a total of 4 attempts. Many times he got failure but he was not disappointed. Finally, luck supported him in the fourth attempt and he was included in the list of toppers. In this way, his journey to become an IAS was completed.

Shubham’s advice to other candidates

Shubham believes that to clear the UPSC exam, you have to constantly work hard and make a precise strategy. They say that if you do coaching then it is a good thing, otherwise you can prepare for it without coaching also. According to the syllabus, prepare the study material and make your schedule and get ready for the preparation. You can take help of internet. They believe that this exam can be passed only through overall preparation.
