Graduation from Delhi

Gunjan was born in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Gunjan’s father was an IPS officer and sister was also in the civil service. There were already many civil servants in his house, and Gunjan too had a tendency towards UPSC since childhood. After Intermediate, Gunjan graduated in Political Science from Delhi. After graduation, he started preparing for UPSC. She failed in the first and second attempts but she was not disappointed and continued her preparations. Eventually, she became an IAS officer in the third attempt.

Gunjan completed his graduation in the year 2014 and after that started preparing for UPSC. He took the UPSC exam for the first time in 2016. He did not get success in this. In such a situation, Gunjan worked hard and again took the exam for the second time in 2017, but this time also she could not pass the pre-exam. In such a situation, Gunjan identified his mistakes and corrected them and made a third attempt in a better way. This time, he not only passed the UPSC examination, but also achieved the All India Rank 9 and set a record.

Gunjan’s advice to other candidates

Gunjan believes that in order to pass the UPSC pre-exam, you have to strengthen your basics considerably. According to him, it is often typical to pass the pre exam. In such a situation, try to give the exam with complete preparation and do not adopt any shortcut of any kind. She says that if there is no success in UPSC exam then there is no need to be disappointed and keep working hard. If you work sincerely, then you will get success soon but you will definitely get success.
