Geetanjali Sharma’s father is working in the Indian Navy and his mother is a scientist in DRDO. Due to the job of his parents, his education was done in many cities of the country. Gitanjali spent most of the time in Delhi. He also did his graduation from Delhi. After graduation, he made up his mind to go into the field of UPSC and started preparing. Here he had to struggle a little but got success in the third attempt.

UPSC’s journey was like this

Geetanjali Sharma first joined coaching for the preparation of UPSC. But after about 1 year, he realized that if he focus more on self study instead of coaching, then success will be achieved. In such a situation, he gave up coaching and decided to prepare on the basis of self study. In the first attempt at UPSC, she could not pass the pre-exam. In the second attempt, she crossed all three stages, but did not figure in the final list. After this, he rectified his mistakes and achieved his dream by achieving the 32nd rank in the third attempt.

Gitanjali’s advice to other candidates

Geetanjali says that in order to prepare for UPSC, first of all make your time table. One should study according to that time table. When your syllabus is covered, revise it again and again. Apart from this, keep a little time in your time table to refresh your mind. UPSC’s journey will be very strange due to entering the books for 24 hours. In such a situation, take care of your mental health as well and keep preparing with it by making the right strategy. One day you will definitely get success. She says that when you get success in UPSC, identify your mistakes and rectify them and make the next attempt better.
