He got success in the second attempt in UPSC. While Ritika was preparing for UPSC, her father was struggling with a terrible disease like cancer. Amidst all this, he continued his preparations. Today, Ritika has become an inspiration for every person preparing for UPSC.

Ritika was clever in studies since childhood

Ritika was born in Moga district of Punjab. Ritika was very smart in her childhood. She always topped the class from the beginning. His marks also came very well in high school and intermediate. After this, he obtained a graduation degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi. Here too, he brightened the name by topping the class. She had a dream of becoming an IAS since her childhood and for this she started trying from the very beginning. After graduation, he started preparing for UPSC completely.

How was the journey of UPSC

Ritika always dreamed of becoming an IAS and started preparing for it. However, while Ritika was preparing for UPSC, her father was struggling with a serious illness like cancer. Amidst all this, he handled himself and continued his preparations. She prepared with complete honesty and reached the interview in the first attempt. His name did not figure in the final list. After this, he rectified his shortcomings and in the second attempt, he rose to 88th rank and brightened the name.

Ritika’s advice to the candidates preparing for UPSC

Every year lakhs of people in the country sit for UPSC exams. Ritika gives three advice to such candidates. First advice – do not be afraid of the challenges in life. Fiercely challenge the challenges and keep trying continuously for your goal. Second advice- Candidates preparing for UPSC should use their emotional intelligence very carefully. Do not be emotionally weak. If you become emotionally weak, you will be afraid of failure and will not be able to focus like your goal. Third advice – Do not be discouraged by failure and try to improve the performance by improving your shortcomings in the second attempt. Must learn from failure. She says that if you take care of these three things, it will be easy to get success in UPSC.
