Civil services examination: ‘overage’ students of UPSC get big shock for SC, will not get extra chance

Civil services exam: Due to the Corona epidemic, every sector has suffered big losses from education to the economy. In such a situation, now the UPSC Civil Service candidates have also received a big setback from the Supreme Court. In fact, the SC has rejected the petition filed on behalf of the candidates, in which they requested to give another chance to the students who lost their last chance of civil service examination in 2020 due to global epidemic. This means that it is now clear that these candidates will no longer be able to take the exam.

The candidates had said in the petition that due to Corona, very difficult conditions had arisen in the preparation of the examination, due to which their last appearance was in vain. In such a situation, the Overseas candidates had demanded in the petition that they should be given one more opportunity. This petition has been rejected by the Supreme Court. Due to this decision of the court, there is a wave of sorrow among the Overseas candidates.

Let me tell you that before this, the Center also had its taunts against it. The Center believed that the Center had told the apex court on February 9 that it was against the relaxation in age limit for the candidates including the students who lost their last chance. Giving another chance to such students this year will discriminate against other candidates.
