UPSC Civil Services Exam Additional chances: Petition filed in the Supreme Court seeking additional opportunity in the UPAC Civil Services Examination of 2021 for the year 2021 to the candidates who were deprived of their failure to attend the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020 Has been done. The Supreme Court gave this decision while hearing it.

After this decision given by the Supreme Court, those candidates of UPSC will no longer get another additional chance who could not appear in the UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam held in October 2020 due to Kovid-19 and their age limit also ended the same year. It’s done. However, candidates seeking additional opportunity in the Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) also include candidates who played as frontline workers during the Corona (COVID-19) epidemic.

Let me tell you that a three-member bench of the Supreme Court justices AM Khanwilkar, Indu Malhotra and Ajay Rastogi were hearing this petition. The bench rejected all these petitions and said that a copy of this order will be uploaded on the website of the Supreme Court in some time. Earlier, on February 9, after hearing the arguments of the petitioner, the central government and the UPSC, the decision was reserved. Which the bench told today.

It is noteworthy that the Central Government had agreed to give another chance to those candidates who could not appear in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020 due to Kovid-19 and this was their last opportunity. But the central government did not agree to give another chance to those candidates whose maximum age limit was also exhausted.

Let us tell you that according to the notification of UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2020, the general category candidates get 6 chances to appear in the Civil Services Examination till the age of 32 years while the OBC category candidates get 9 opportunities till the age of 35 years. Huh. For SC-ST candidates, the maximum age limit is 37 years. There is no compulsion of opportunity.
