New Delhi In view of the shortage in cases of corona infection, the Ministry of Education has given permission to open Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. According to the guidelines issued by the ministry, classes of 10th and 12th can be run, but for this the permission of the concerned state government is very important. A standard operating procedure (SOP) has also been prepared by the Ministry to open Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya. This SOP has been prepared keeping in mind the guidelines of Union Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Health. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas were closed in March last year after the outbreak of Kovid-19 epidemic.
On opening the school, the ministry said in a statement, “Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has made good preparations for opening classes for students. Consent of parents has also been taken to start classes. Online classes have been continued for other students. The school is trying not to harm any student at the academic level. Along with calling the students, the instructions issued by the state government will also be met with strictness.
The statement said that on the basis of the SOP of the Ministry of Education, each school will decide its guidelines based on the instructions of the state government and sit with the district administration. Since these schools are residential, the Ministry is taking full caution.
If the officials associated with the ministry believe that other classes can be started soon. In view of the safety of students, the Ministry has asked all schools to take precaution at their level and also prepare their own safety standards.
